Compass Housing Alliance-Housing

The member will be serving in one of 4 location options. All locations provide housing to very low income and previously homeless families. Veterans are also a large population we provide supportive housing to. The overall impact of our member is to mentor, support, and connect residents with services in collaboration with the on-site Case Managers. This will enhance quality of life and/or better equip residents to reach a higher level of self sufficiency. The member will coordinate and/or facilitate programming that includes nutrition education using the Cooking Matters model, providing wellness and family activities for health and healthy behaviors Another key component is education support for youth. The member will support the after school program with mentors and volunteers to implement study and homework time for all school age youth to increase commitment to education. The member may also coordinate financial literacy programs for youth and adults. Much of this service is tied to building rapport in order to foster change in lifestyles that support wellness.
