Volunteer and Refugee Engagement VISTA

Want to learn more about refugees being resettled in Utah? What better way than to connect new refugee arrivals with a volunteer in the community! Newly arrived families face many challenges when they first arrive in the United States. It is proven that having a family friend in the mainstream community helps refugees settle in faster and happier! You can be a huge part of this by joining Catholic Community Services as the volunteer and refugee engagement AmeriCorps VISTA! Come use your skills to ensure refugees have all the tools they need to successfully integrate into their new community. Plus you’d get to join CCS who have been resettling refugees since 1975. Their Refugee Resettlement Program provides refugees the assistance they need to become self-sufficient in their new home. They offer clients a variety of services including case management, job placement, health services, interpretation, transportation, housing, food assistance, volunteer opportunities and more. On top of all of that, you’d get to live, work and play in Salt Lake City! A hub of adventure, good food, outdoor excursions and fun!
