Member Duties : CEDAM’s AmeriCorps State members build financial stability in their communities. The position at the Macomb Community Action Agency includes hosting financial education workshops, supporting VITA free tax assistance programs, hosting community resource fairs, individual financial stability work.
Additional tasks include planning and orchestrating a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site(s) within their community. Members will recruit volunteers, coordinate sites and market the opportunity to the community.
Finally, the position requires helping community members with individual financial literacy services. The member will work directly with clients to provide resource information, schedule appointments with counselors, assemble paperwork, direct clients to other resources and provide follow up as needed.
