Randolph Partnership for Children

Since 1999, Randolph Partnership for Children (RPC) has been our community’s lead organization for young children and their families, We bring together organizations and individuals to ensure all children enter kindergarten ready to succeed in school and life. We are located in the heart of North Carolina, serving Randolph County through our offices in Asheboro. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Piedmont, we are home to the largest zoo in the world, the pottery capital of the US, and Richard Petty, the King of NASCAR. We have hiking, kayaking, ziplines, fishing, and more for the outdoor enthusiast. We also boast professional and community theater and a thriving arts community. Our rural environment can be a blessing and a curse. For those who lack financial resources, employment, education, housing, and/or transportation; finding and accessing support systems is next to impossible. Our VISTA will take the lead role in our fiscal and service mapping project for services and supports to families with children birth-5. The work will address food deserts, child care deserts, school readiness, health, and toxic stress. By addressing these specific issues facing young children and families, we have an opportunity to remove barriers that hinder opportunities for families and break the cycle of poverty.
