Early Learning NH & Spark NH
Early Learning NH is a non-profit organization committed to ensuring that all NH children have the opportunity to reach their full potential by supporting early learning programs, and the children and families they serve; raising awareness about the importance of the early years; championing effective early learning policy; and building public-private partnerships that promote innovation and investment to strengthen early learning. Early Learning NH lends a crucial voice to the advocacy necessary to advance and sustain policies in support of early childhood. We work to build sufficient public will to support increased investments for early childhood, inform the field of challenges and opportunities to advance early childhood through annual professional development, offer opportunities to further the shared services model that improves quality, and perform outreach to educate the business community on the importance of early childhood development. Early Learning NH is the governor-designated coordinating body of Spark NH. Spark NH is the governor-appointed Early Childhood Advisory Council for NH. It is a private-public partnership with a vision that all NH children and their families are healthy, learning and thriving now and in the future. Spark NH is an unprecedented early childhood infrastructure for our state that provides leadership and management for the system of early childhood programs and services. We work to build awareness of the importance of early childhood and to fix the fragmentation in our system that has produced less than desirable results for our children. Our work encompasses all of early childhood wellness including early education, comprehensive health and family support. A coordinated approach is necessary to the success of all children, but especially those living in poverty. Spark NH works to better the lives of NH’s young children and their families, including economic barriers to accessing the programs and services they need.
