YouthBuild Construction Crew Leader

This position will help our YouthBuild participants successfully complete construction curriculum (NCCER) and projects. YouthBuild is a GED/work training program for 18-24 year-olds funded through the Department of Labor. The Spokane Service Team hosts 36 YouthBuild members per program year. This position will connect with these participants, facilitate the construction curriculum and associated projects, and lead life skills and safety courses. They will also work with the YouthBuild construction trainer to organize site visits to local apprenticeships and construction trade programs. This service opportunity will help greatly improve the lives of both our YouthBuild participants and the low-income families in our community that the YouthBuild program provides direct support to. The Construction Crew Leader will gain valuable leadership, teaching, and communication skills that will transcend beyond their service year.
