CEDAM's AmeriCorps - Greatest of These is Love
 
 
 
As a statewide support organization, CEDAM strives to help our more than 250 member organizations do their jobs better. CEDAM's ten VISTA members serve statewide to advance anti-poverty initiatives at the local level. Members in CEDAM's program will either create or greatly expand a program in their community. In addition to rewarding day-to-day activities, CEDAM ensures that AmeriCorps members get as much as they give. We provide a comprehensive soft skills and community development 101 training throughout the year that ensures members are ready for what's next after service. In addition, members have access to a statewide network and the opportunity to attend professional conferences during their service terms.

Member Duties : Recruit and maintain a rolling base of 20 volunteers to assist with meal planning, food preparation and serving. Volunteers could also assist with community outreach and resource generation. Increase participation in the “Reading Club” by five Coogan Terrace residents. Increase participation on the meal program to 1,000 persons annually. Establish Memorandum of Understandings with three supportive service / human service agencies for the delivery of services as needed. Hold two fund-raising activities. The AmeriCorps VISTA member would be expected to build capacity of the organization, providing the assistance to evaluate visibility tools (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.), to increase our financial resources and locate training opportunities to build capacity of the Board.
