BmoreSTEM Ecosystem Development

There is a clear need to improve STEM learning opportunities for Baltimore youth. BmoreSTEM is a cross-sector collaboration working to build, promote, and sustain a STEM learning culture throughout Baltimore City. BmoreSTEM is lead by a Working Board and operates four initial workgroups: Curriculum-Embedded Field Experiences, Secondary STEM Teacher Recruitment, BmoreSTEM 2.0, and Effective STEM Mentoring. The VISTA’s role will be to build capacity, engage the community, and promote sustainability of BmoreSTEM as we transition from BmoreSTEM 1.0 to BmoreSTEM 2.0. Metrics: • At least 85% of the transition plan’s milestones are completed on-time • Each document written and briefing given by the VISTA will be rated as satisfactory or above by 85% of its intended audience • The VISTA will receive a satisfactory or better rating on his/her performance review from his/her supervisor (Joshua Gabrielse)
