JC Housing Authority Community Partnership Coordinator
 
 
 
The Jersey City Housing Authority serves over 18,000 low-income residents of Jersey City including public housing residents and Housing Choice Voucher recipients. Included in this demographic are many of Jersey City’s most vulnerable residents including over 2,000 seniors over the age of 65, over 3,300 individuals with disabilities, and nearly 5,000 children under the age of 18. The Public Housing Authority’s ability to serve residents is dependent on relationships and partnerships formed with community stakeholders in both the public and private sectors.

Member Duties : The VISTA will work under the supervision of the Director and Assistant Director of the Department of Resident Empowerment and Community Engagement to help JCHA conduct a needs assessment, research opportunities and programs in housing authorities across the country, build a program development grants strategy, and then build the capacity to schedule, program, document and share the impact of these partnerships through reporting and social media tools.
