Community Solutions Program Coordinator
 
 
 
The Community Court (CC) VISTA will help to build the capacity of the Community Court, which is designed to connect “quality of life” offenders, many of whom are low-income, with resources and community service sanctions in order to empower individuals and better the community as a whole. The CC VISTA will help grow stakeholder outreach networks to increase awareness and understanding of the Program among the impacted community. As well, this VISTA must regularly attend community/neighborhood meetings to present on JCCS progress, and solicit feedback related to neighborhood-specific issue spotting and project impact.  Developing and coordinating an outreach strategy to increase community service sites in each ward of Jersey City will be a major focus as the VISTA will also serve as a liaison with existing community service sites to maintain partnerships and seek activities to increase participant opportunities. THE CC must manage logistics for standing meetings, including steering and Community Advisory Board meetings; and assist in management of the data system for logging and tracking program and case data.  This position requires flexible hours, including evenings to attend community meetings.

Member Duties : The Community Solutions Program Coordinator VISTA will continue to build a database of local community resources and community service based programs. The CSPC VISTA will enhance stakeholder outreach to increase program awareness and understanding of the community served. The VISTA will also be tasked with program oversight and support as well as data management and coordinating outreach strategies.
