Family Strengthening Community Outreach Coordinator

Family Support Services (FSS) of Catholic Charities will develop a new program, Gianna’s Hands, to support families with young children within the parish community. FSS recognizes that parents, children, and entire families experience significant changes with the arrival of a new baby. Families with young children can also be easily overwhelmed with handling the tasks of everyday life. Through Gianna’s Hands, parishioners will be trained as volunteers to provide practical and emotional support to families with new babies and children under five. The Bakhita Empowerment Initiative is a state-wide program and provides direct services and intensive case management to survivors of labor and/or sex trafficking. The program also provides education and awareness to community members and professionals. BEI provides a prevention program, My Life, My Choice, to adolescent females throughout the state. BEI will begin a prevention program for adolescent males this fall.
