Student Stewards Program Outreach Coordinator VISTA

The SSP Outreach Coordinator VISTA will be an essential member of the team for this young non-profit organization. This VISTA will help develop a health focused marketing and outreach plan for TMPF’s youth educational programs and events including the Student Stewards and Junior Naturalist Programs. This person will enhance the advertising and outreach strategies used to promote and expand the TMPF health initiatives of SSP, JNats, Spring and Summer Camps via social media, traditional media, and streamlined website design. The mission of Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation is to support the parks departments operating in Truckee Meadows, including Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County parks. We do this primarily by providing in-park programming and opportunities for citizen engagement. TMPF is an independent, nonprofit organization that was incorporated in 2012 and received its 501 (c) (3) determination in 2013. Our programs focus on improving community health and wellness and developing people’s appreciation for the natural and cultural history found in local parks.
