The VISTA will asset map community locations and create workshops, outreach and marketing strategies to provide information to engage specific populations; compile comprehensive list of services that enhance navigational support; compile data sources for high demand career fields and corresponding education opportunities offered locally and support grant writing to close achievement gap thus breaking the cycle of poverty. This position is in Eastern Washington, about 20 miles west of Idaho and 110 miles south of the Canadian border. Benefits include a living allowance of $472.22 biweekly. VISTA Members who successfully complete the year receive their choice of either a Segal Education Award (valued at approximately $6,000) or an $1,800 cash stipend.
