NYC VISTA: NYC Opportunity Worker Connect Data VISTA
 
 
 
NYC Opportunity uses evidence and innovation to reduce poverty and increase equity. We advance research, data, and design in the City’s program and policy development, service delivery, and budget decisions. Our work includes analyzing existing anti-poverty approaches, collaboratively developing new interventions that address unmet needs with City agencies, facilitating data sharing across City agencies, and rigorously assessing the impact of key initiatives. We will be supporting Worker Connect and social services data initiatives led by the Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity that are designed to reduce poverty, promote social equity and increase access to benefits and services.

Member Duties : The Worker Connect VISTA member will help support Worker Connect and social services data initiatives led by the Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity that are designed to reduce poverty, promote social equity and increase access to benefits and services. The member will work with NYC agencies to document data sources and systems that are part of NYC Opportunity’s larger data sharing initiatives designed to help low-income residents access benefits, services and employment; work with the NYC Opportunity senior team to advocate best practices that promote information sharing projects that benefit low-income, homeless and vulnerable populations; implement Worker Connect across NYC City social service agencies and providers; and evaluate quantitative and qualitative impact of Worker Connect and data sharing projects on client-facing agency operations and the clients they serve.
