2019 – Grandmont Rosedale Development Corporation - Pathways

The Grandmont Rosedale Development Corporation (GRDC) operates a wide variety of neighborhood improvement activities, including their Grand River WorkPlace, a business incubator and co-working space, and a neighborhood farmer's market, which serves as not only a source of fresh goods and produce for residents, but as a business incubator for food entrepreneurs. As our VISTA serving with GRDC, you would support efforts to increase engagement and support for the Grand River WorkPlace and Farmer's Market, by organizing special events and community meetings and engaging with participants and volunteers. You would also help develop and facilitate value-added trainings/workshops related to GRDC's service and resources that help improve the well-being and financial security of economically disadvantaged residents. Finally, you would collect, analyze, assess, and evaluate data related to economic development and job creation to highlight the impacts of your service. Help engage the residents of the Grandmont Rosedale community and the broader Detroit community through service with the Grandmont Rosedale Development Corporation!
