Member Duties : The DSS Office of Advocacy and Outreach’s (OAO) Engagement Capacity VISTA member will develop strategies to engage community based organizations (CBOs) to broaden partner membership and support both CBO partners and New Yorkers with increasing usage of HRA systems - such as the ACCESS HRA - to expand benefits access for New Yorkers in need and address food insecurity and income inequality. The ACCESS HRA program helps reduce poverty in New York city. The VISTA member will also support project by tracking outreach efforts to LGBTQI, disabled, and immigrant populations to insure that low-income new Yorkers are served.
