The Human Resources Administration (HRA) assists over three million low-income and vulnerable New Yorkers annually through the effective and efficient administration of more than 12 major public benefits programs. The Department of Social Services (DSS) is comprised of the administrative units of the NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA) and the Department of Homeless Services (DHS). Through integrated management for HRA and DHS, client services can be provided more seamlessly and effectively. The City leverages shared services functions across agencies, which results in better day-to-day management and building an integrated mission across agencies.

Member Duties : The Career Services Information Technology Services VISTA will Develop systematic relationships across all HRA programs job-placement providers’ data bases to determine key points in a users’ life-cycle to improve service delivery. Bridging the data systems designs through the new integrated Case Management System (CMS) development will lead to a better system infrastructure, better services for clients, and increased efficiency in program processes. The integrated CMS will allow for better outcomes of Cash Assistance and SNAP clients seeking employment and training. The CMS will be designed to track vendor contract compliance, goals measurements, as well as vendor performance. Ensuring clients are provided with the best assessments, job placements, and skill development leading them to self-sufficiency.
