Member Duties : Develop and enhance children and family health education programs and curriculum using feedback from foundational research (collected during the previous VISTA year) and within evidence-based best practices in order to support families on their way out of violence and poverty. Develop and enhance our prevention education programs using data gathered by the previous VISTA in order to increase healthy child and youth outcomes in Whatcom county and prevent violence that can lead to poverty. Develop and enhance our child advocacy services at our safe shelter to prevent future poverty and victimization of these children and best support our most vulnerable families experiencing poverty and homelessness.
