Career & College Readiness VISTA
 
 
 
The Career & College Readiness VISTA will guide the implementation of a new initiative designed to offer middle and high school afterschool programs new resources and training that will increase OST programs capacities to build their participants’ 21st century skills, increase career awareness, connect with higher education and workforce partners, and help young people navigate and plan positive pathways for their futures.

Member Duties : The VISTA Project will have two main phases. In the first phase the VISTA will work with partners and experts in the field to develop a tool-kit/resource materials that will ultimately be designed to be published and widely shared. The VISTA will project manage the production of the toolkits working with MOST staff, curriculum developers and testing in the field to receive feedback from end users. In the second phase, the tool-kit will be piloted with a Professional Learning Community as well as promoted for broader distribution. The VISTA will recruit members of the PLC through a Request for Proposals process. Once the PLC beings, the VISTA will be responsible for communication and coordination with the PLC members and working with MOST staff to design training content and activities for the learning community. The VISTA will also support data collection to evaluate the PLC and the tool-kit impact.
