This partnership project is managed by the Oregon Health Authority in Portland, OR. The Leader will interact directly with the Project Director and fellow VISTA Leaders to collaborate on various projects that support members in a variety of ways. The Leader will help lead a team of 32 VISTA members who serve at sites throughout Oregon in an effort to fight poverty and increase access to affordable healthcare resources. The team meets regularly, attending various public health and leadership trainings, and participating in national service day projects. Portland is Oregon’s cultural center, dense with independent movie theaters and art galleries. The exceptional public transit system makes it easy to get around the city without a car, whether you’re visiting a food cart pod or a public park.
