Through partnerships, long-term planning, and wise investment of donor contributions, United Way supports 87 programs at 54 nonprofit agencies within three impact areas: Education, Income, and Health. United Way of the Coastal Empire serves four counties: Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, and Liberty. United Way is a volunteer-driven organization that involves hundreds of community leaders and professionals in every aspect of our business, including fundraising, marketing, and funding decisions, to ensure that your donations are truly making a difference.

Member Duties : United Way of the Coastal Empire seeks an AmeriCorps VISTA with a strong interest in non-profit capacity-building to develop, implement and grow a new grant research and resource center. This unique position will provide training and technical assistance to nonprofit professionals in grant research and grant writing, develop a robust outreach and communications program, and collect and evaluate data for ongoing program improvement. The VISTA will also support volunteer evaluators and applicant agencies in United Way’s annual community investment grant award process as needed.
