Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore (BGCMB): the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. BGCMB serves more than 500 young people at one of our five club locations. The five club locations are Baltimore Juvenile Justice Center, Brooklyn O’Malley, O’Donnell Heights, Webster Kendrick, and Westport Homes. Our focus is on positive youth development, which includes five key elements: a safe, positive environment, fun, supportive relationships, opportunities and expectations, and recognition. BGCMB offers a variety of programming for young people in the areas of education, arts, sports & recreation, health & wellness, career development, and character & leadership. As the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore enters its second decade of existence in Baltimore, measuring and monitoring the impact of our Clubs is essential. To help young people reach their full potential, it is imperative to have systems that reflect the positive influence of BGCMB. Data collection and evaluation will support the organization in applying for and securing grants to influence and develop young people with proper programs and resources.
