Denton Christian Preschool Marketing and Fundraising VISTA
 
 
 
Denton Christian Preschool (DCP), provides early education for at-risk children in the Denton Texas community. In 1970 DCP was founded by the love and concerned churches who believed first few years of a child’s life are the most important. Although Denton Christian Preschool is housed within the First Presbyterian Church, have with no ties to any faith community. Denton Christian Preschool does not discriminate based on race, national origin, political belief, disability, color, religion, age, or gender. As times evolved so did the needs of the Denton Christian preschool. Dedicated professionals and volunteers teach, feed, love, and nurture at risk three and four year olds. The support that the community members need to succeed in public school. DCP’s early childhood education programming core: developmentally appropriate learning activities in a classroom setting, transportation to and from school, daily nutritious meals and snacks, medical, dental, speech, and other diagnostic screenings and referrals and monthly parenting events. The Marketing and Fundraising VISTA will build capacity by increasing community awareness thus increasing student enrollment, volunteers and donors.

Member Duties : The Marketing and Fundraising VISTA will increase community awareness and enhance fundraising activities to help provide early education for at-risk children in Denton, TX. Major functions include: •Develop a marketing plan to increase Denton Christian Preschool’s presence in the community •Increase donor and volunteer participation in fundraising events and day-to-day needs. •Write 10 grants to raise an additional $100,000 for the education and care of at-risk children.
