THN Homeless Coalition (Texarkana, TX)
 
 
 
The Texas Homeless Network (THN) works to provide solutions to end homelessness in Texas communities through education, resources, and advocacy. Currently, THN has VISTA members placed throughout the state working on capacity building and program development to assist communities in ending homelessness. This VISTA project will (in its 3rd and final year) will build upon previous VISTA projects to support the development of the Coordinate Entry system local coalition, and the SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery (SOAR) program. To achieve this goal, the VISTA member will primarily focus on strengthening partnerships and developing technical assistance materials for local homeless service organizations. The outcome will allow community partners to more effectively provide housing and other services to persons experiencing homelessness.
