Resource Development VISTA, Columbia Memorial Space Center

The Columbia Memorial Space Center is becoming the regional hub for communities underserved by STEM resources. STEM participants in our programs, including projects like the one being proposed, reflect the overall demographics of our community. Our core visitorship draws from the communities of Pico Rivera, Compton, Southgate, Bellflower and other municipalities in Southeast Los Angeles, including Downey. The Space Center youth participants reflect the overall demographics of the communities of Southeast Los Angeles, a dynamic and extremely diverse area of emerging, yet predominantly under-resourced populations.
