UG: Community Planning and Communications Coordinator

The Historic Northeast Midtown Association is the Neighborhood Business Revitalization organization for Northeast KCK. Northeast KCK has a high poverty rate, with 37% of the population living below 100% of the federal poverty line. HNMA in partnership with the UG recently completed a Master Plan for this area in Wyandotte County, which includes 13 active neighborhood associations. This project will focus on collaborating with community partners to implement the goals and projects of the plan, addressing the factors which are contributing to the poverty rate in HNMA’s service area. The Master Plan is a document laying out strategies for comprehensive community and economic development and revitalization.
