Cherry Health AmeriCorps
 
 
 
Cherry Health AmeriCorps positively impacts the underserved community by providing health insurance enrollment assistance for Medicaid and Marketplace, by providing health education to improve health knowledge and attitudes, and a variety of other service roles that aim to improve access to health care, such as interpretation. Members engage community volunteers in service projects to amplify the program’s impact in the community. Members are trained on health care topics such as social determinants of health, health disparities, and the health care environment. Professional development training is provided on topics such as cultural humility, conflict resolution, communication skills, self-awareness, and interviewing skills. Members do not engage in prohibited activities.

Member Duties : Cherry Health AmeriCorps members will serve in roles that aim to increase access to health care for the underserved. Members may provide outreach and enrollment assistance for Medicaid and Marketplace plans, health education, health care interpretation, identifying and addressing gaps in health care needs, and community outreach. Members participate in health focused service projects and engage in professional development. Members do not provide services related to prohibited activities.
