| Member Duties : The summer associate serving at Kalamazoo Eastside Neighborhood Association will ramp up outreach for encouraging healthier lifestyle choices within the neighborhood. In doing this, the member will assist residents in starting community gardens on the Eastside as well as facilitating and hosting workshops presented by experts geared to educate families on eating habits and preparing food in a healthier way on a budget. The VISTA member will also work directly with the summer food service program, Meet Up, which ensures that children have access to healthy food all summer.
