*AmeriCorps VISTA MTCC-Boys & Girls Club of Cascade Cty.

The Boys & Girls Club of Cascade County is located in Great Falls, Montana. The VISTA will be incredibly beneficial in increasing out capacity to serve more youth each day through BGCCC Clubs. The VISTA will help with several capacity building projects: creating a robust volunteer program, improving our relationships with community partners in order to reduce duplication and increase collaboration in the programs and services we offer, and increasing the number of youth and families we serve. By providing affordable and safe programs for youth to attend during out of school hours, BGCCC limits the likelihood they become involved in undesirable, unbeneficial, or dangerous activities when school is out. Once they are in the doors, BGCCC can offer programs and opportunities to help remove barriers they experience when trying achieve success. BGCCC offers targeted academic support to promote on time grade progression and mentors cheer on youth to reach the milestone of graduating high school with a plan for the future. BGCCC offers prevention education and programs that build healthy lifestyle skills like gardening, nutrition, cooking classes, and fitness. By offering parent and family components to these programs, BGCCC positively impacts the entire family.
