The program will help prevent summer learning loss among low-income youth. The program consists of various on-site activities such as arts & crafts, gym games, technology, science, outdoor play, video games, music, cooking, team building, floor games, and sports. The programs are as follows: -Skills Mastery and Resilience Training (SMART) programs which focus on violence and drug prevention through education and positive adult relationships. - Education and Career programs which include STEM activities like science experiments and computer science education. - Career Launch for Club Teens, this program provides fun and interactive activities for youth ages 13 to 18 to explore a broad range of career areas, match their interest to career clusters and identify the skills and education needed for their career path. Summer Associates are an AmeriCorps volunteer program. Summer Associates in Fairbanks receive a monthly living allowance of $1,358 and an education award of $1,289.95 or a stipend of $345.80 for completing all 10 weeks.
