Children’s Initiatives: LeeAnne Cornyn-Office of Ohio Gov.
 
 
 
The AmeriCorps VISTA to the Governor’s Children’s Initiatives will help support the various pillars of the offices work, with a special focus on foster care and multi-system youth. The VISTA will conduct policy research, assist with event development, staff advisory committees associated with foster care and multi-system youth, draft reports, and perform other tasks as needed in an ad hoc basis. Travel may be required for any of these tasks.

Member Duties : Working with the Children’s Initiatives Team, the VISTA Member will assist in a variety of activities including project management, event planning, community outreach, research and more! The VISTA Member will be focused on the following activities: developing presentations to educate others on children’s issues; writing educational materials and papers related foster care and multi-system youth; analyzing current data trends in the research and evaluation of proposals for assessment and treatment of those in the system; attending meetings with community and state partners; drafting documents such as, outlining recommendations and next steps, and providing follow up on emerging initiatives; and working with community and state partners to achieve shared objectives to improve current children’s issues faced.
