Stewards VISTA: Conservation Legacy - Durango, Colorado
Conservation Legacy operates and support programs that provide service and work opportunities for a diverse group of individuals to complete important conservation and community projects for the public benefit. Conservation Legacy is the third largest non-profit conservation corps program in the country and is now in its 20th year of engaging individuals to complete important conservation projects throughout the nation by providing structured, safe and challenging work and educational opportunities. Our programs continue to evolve and grow to meet the need of local communities, partners and individuals. Conservation Legacy aims to strengthen local impact and create a culture of stewardship by focusing on targeted audiences and concentrating our efforts in serving underrepresented populations in our home community. By working alongside fellow community leaders, supporting local organizations, and targeting underserved populations, our goal is to encourage community improvements at the local level, generating skilled, educated, and active future civic leaders.
