The Northern New England Campus Compact VISTA Program is focused on the development of programming on campuses across Maine/New Hampshire/Vermont that will increase access to higher education for low-income individuals by providing programming focused on improving college aspirations, increasing the belief that college is an option, and increasing access to higher education for low-income individuals seeking higher education. We are currently recruiting for a team of VISTAS to serve at host sites across the state to achieve these goals.

Member Duties : Student Involvement programs help low-income students make the most of their time at Keene State College. Programming includes volunteer and leadership opportunities, occasions for personal and professional growth, socializing, and career exploration. The VISTA member will assist and support Student Involvement with efforts to ensure programming meets the needs of our underrepresented/low-income student population, with an eye toward programs most likely to contribute to college access and success. This includes supporting a cocurricular summer bridge program, facilitating leadership programming, growing students' awareness of opportunities for involvement and increasing outreach to underserved/low-income students. The VISTA member can expect challenging and varied responsibilities that allow for personal and professional growth, support from leadership across the department of Student Involvement, and short-term and sustained engagement with our undergraduate student population.
