Only 36% of graduates from Troy High School attend postsecondary education opportunities. In order to support and expand college access in the Troy community local businesses and organization are partnering with Troy for a School to Work program. It is important to educate students about potential career, college, and post-secondary opportunities that are available to them after graduating from High School. Troy High School will also be organizing an annual Career and Reality Fair for students along with teaming up with Gear-Up Team to increase community involvement with in school activities. Troy High School will be hosting community events such as Chilli Cookoff, Strut Your Stuff, and other events to benefit the community of Troy.

Member Duties : Mentor high school students for success and college access. The member will assist students with college applications, job interview skills, and scholarship opportunities. Engage high school students in college visits. Gear-Up Team will be partnering with the leader to increase community involvement in school activities. Leader duties will also include providing mentorship opportunities for students with local community members and their peers. Community events in Troy will be organized and hosted by the leader.
