*MTCC Summer VISTA- Missoula College

Missoula College is located in Missoula, Montana. The Mission of Missoula College is to create a comprehensive, accessible, student-centered learning environment that fosters individual growth, facilitates workforce development, and provides a foundation for advanced academic achievement. Missoula College elevates the awareness of two-year education as a result of our high retention, graduation and placement rates. Through this demonstration of excellence, more students will enroll in two-year colleges, more businesses and industries will partner with two-year schools, and the state will receive the benefits of a more educated citizenry/workforce.This Summer Associate grant-writing project will enhance college access and success for Missoula College students by helping research for and write a grant to provide funding for a multitude of student services including but not limited to: admission assistance and education, financial education, increased access to advising and career counseling, tutoring services.

Member Duties : The Summer Associate will increase college access and success for low-income and first-generation students, veterans, and students with disabilities by assisting in research and data collection for grants to support MC student services; help research and collect, data for grant writing purposes; help interpret and delineate data to be used for grant writing projects; assist in drafting grant applications using collected data; and assist in editing and finalizing grant applications according to dispersal requirements.
