*MTCC Summer VISTA- Montana Natural History Center

Montana Natural History Center (MNHC) is located in Missoula, Montana. Its mission is to promote and cultivate the appreciation, understanding, and stewardship of nature through education. MNHC offers over 25 different programs for schools, youth, and community members to help connect people with nature and encourage lifelong learning and stewardship. MNHC’s summer camp program serves approximately 375 campers, ages 4-11, per year. The Summer Associate will provide support and assistance for MNHC’s Summer Outdoor Discovery Day Camps program, in order to increase and improve its capacity to improve school readiness and move children and families in the Missoula area out of poverty. The Summer Associate will primarily work within the preschool-kindergarten summer camps, assisting camp instructors, leading and potentially developing lessons, and serving as a role model and mentor for early learners.
