Community Capacity Building Specialist [MCN]
 
 
 
Casa de Esperanza provides comprehensive services and resources for Latin@ individuals, families, community members, and organizations. The organization's work is grounded in efforts that advance effective responses to eliminate violence and promote healthy relationships and that resonate in Latin@ communities. Effectively engaging volunteers and sharing our work with external audiences, the VISTA will help build our capacity to address these issues by supporting our work to make ending domestic violence everyone’s work.

Member Duties : This position is responsible for managing the volunteer program. Specific activities include, but are not limited to, the following: Providing direction, coordination, and consultation for all volunteer functions within the organization; enhance and maintain the infrastructure of the volunteer program; expand the agency’s capacity to achieve its goals through volunteer participation and retention; develop position descriptions and training guides for volunteer positions; Increase Casa de Esperanza staff’s capacity to recruit, select, screen, train, recognize, and retain volunteers; manage the volunteer database to track number of volunteers, skills, interests, and activities; raise visibility of the organization with potential partners that can refer/provide volunteers and interns; and develop and implement new partnerships plan.
