Harvest Against Hunger Summer Associate VOAWW

VOAWW has a robust gleaning program, Project Harvest, which gleans from both farms and farmer’s markets and supports healthy choices for Snohomish County residents living poverty. The Summer Associate will enhance the Project Harvest program by establishing and promoting relationships with local farmers, farmer’s markets, and community gardens to build a food procurement plan to capture fresh, local produce for low income families utilizing food banks. The Summer Associate would also support the Red Barn gardens to coordinate neighborhood support, volunteer engagement, and expansion of the food grown by local residents and low income families for their own use and to provide additional fresh produce to the Everett Food Bank.
