Partnership 4 Kids is a goal setting and group mentoring program that builds hope for student in our community and helps them create a foundation for success from kindergarten to careers. Partnership 4 Kids (P4K) is a youth mentoring organization that is committed to helping youth in our community build and maintain foundations for success. Through our partnership with Omaha Public Schools and several area colleges and universities we teach kids and young people that through goal setting, education and the right resources there is no limit to what they can achieve. Member Duties : Provide college & career advising to P4K 11th grade students to increase post-secondary enrollment in high wage/demand careers. Position housed at P4K downtown/OPS HS partners • Coordinate & facilitate workshops in for goal setting, career development, job readiness & post-secondary enrollment • Assists students w/ resumes, job applications, & completion of career interest inventories • Provides individual case management & retention support to students using academic & truancy interventions, partner program referrals & wrap-around support • Help coordinate job shadows & internship/job opportunities • Help coordinate college visits, job shadows & career tours • Promote engagement & graduation through coordination of special events including student incentive parties, program completion celebrations, field trips & parent workshops • Track & document student progress & services delivered in database • Assist w/ coordinating summer programs & some transporting of students
