Are you ready to alleviate poverty and help provide increased access to services related to mental health in Upstate South Carolina? In the third year of the Greenville County Behavioral Health (GCBH) VISTA program, the Intake Processes & Community Assessment VISTA will help take Gateway House to its exciting next chapter! Gateway House is highly respected in the local community, and each year, experts from all over the world visit to learn from its proven clubhouse approach. As the organization prepares for a brand new facility, your expertise can make a profound impact. Greenville, South Carolina continues to receive national and international recognition for its southern charm, opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, arts scene, sports culture, and cuisine. Greenville has been lauded by The New York Times as one of the 52 cities in the world to visit, by USA Today as one of the 10 best emerging destinations, and as one of America’s ten best downtowns for its combination of revitalized commercial and park space. Greenville is located at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains. This position is eligible for a gym membership to a specific local facility and a housing stipend to be paid directly to the landlord.

Member Duties : The Intake Processes & Community Assessment VISTA is based at Gateway House. This person will 1) conduct an assessment of current and prospective referral sources to determine unmet needs for agency’s services; 2) work with organization leaders to develop and initiate a strategic outreach plan to connect to prospective partners to agency’s services; 3) create print collateral, social media, web, and other tools to educate, inform and promote the program model specifically at the identified referral sources; and 4) developing, documenting, and creating a training program for the intake process
 
Program Benefits : Education award upon successful completion of service ,  Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend ,  $600/yr housing stipend, gym mbrshp. ,  Childcare assistance if eligible .
