'20-'21 Volunteer Systems VISTA-GCBH VISTA- SWITCH
 
 
 
Are you ready to fight poverty and help provide increased access to services related to mental health in Upstate South Carolina? In the fouth year of the Greenville County Behavioral Health (GCBH) VISTA program, the Volunteer Systems VISTA will work at the faith-based non-profit SWITCH. Your expertise and passion can make a profound impact. Greenville, South Carolina continues to receive national and international recognition for its southern charm, opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, arts scene, sports culture, and cuisine. Greenville has been lauded by The New York Times as one of the 52 cities in the world to visit, by USA Today as one of the 10 best emerging destinations, and as one of America’s ten best downtowns for its combination of revitalized commercial and park space. Greenville is located at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains. This position is eligible for a gym membership to a specific local facility and a housing stipend to be paid directly to the landlord.

Member Duties : This individual will ensure that volunteer management systems (including recruitment, training, orientations, management, and sustainability) are documented. This VISTA will assess current volunteer job descriptions to design and implement sustainable recruitment and training processes for each position.
 
Program Benefits : Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend ,  $600/yr housing stipend, gym mbrshp. ,  Education award upon successful completion of service ,  Childcare assistance if eligible .
