'20-'21 Community Engagement VISTA-GCBH VISTA- EMERGE
 
 
 
Are you ready to fight poverty and provide increased access to services related to mental health in Upstate South Carolina? In the fourth year of the Greenville County Behavioral Health (GCBH) VISTA program, the Community Engagement VISTA will serve at EMERGE Family Therapy Center and Teaching Clinic. The agency has added a location to Greenville County, and the clinic is needing a multi-talented VISTA to help market the clinic and build capacity. Greenville, South Carolina continues to receive national and international recognition for its southern charm, opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, arts scene, sports culture, and cuisine. Greenville has been lauded by The New York Times as one of the 52 cities in the world to visit, by USA Today as one of the 10 best emerging destinations, and as one of America’s ten best downtowns for its combination of revitalized commercial and park space. Greenville is located at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains. This position is eligible for a gym membership to a specific local facility and a housing stipend to be paid directly to the landlord.

Member Duties : The person in this role will work with community partners and develop outreach strategies designed to help Emerge best serve Greenville County and to build relationships within the community. This VISTA will promote Emerge to the general public and potential future clinicians through web-based and social media strategies. The individual will track all outreach efforts and their impact.
