2020-2021 Milwaukee Succeeds VISTA Leader

Our partnership is comprised of representatives from over 300 local organizations, working to identify, align, and scale strategies that move the needle on childhood outcomes. Given the diversity of our partnership “backbone support” is essential in order to effectively 1) align the community around a shared vision and 2) build partner commitments to shared goals. The Milwaukee Succeeds backbone includes six VISTAs and one VISTA Leader—all of whom work with staff, partners, and community to build the partnership’s capacity on key points of leverage from cradle to career. The VISTA Leader works with the Deputy Director to build out management systems focused on onboarding and training new VISTAs, guiding VISTAs in the creation and execution of work plans to achieve their project objectives, supporting VISTAs as they work to build long-term capacity to sustain their results, and leading the requirement and selection of 2020-21 VISTAs.
