In My Shoes Marketing and Development VISTA
 
 
 
In My Shoes is a non-profit organization in Dallas providing community living within a safe environment. We are focused on assisting women who are pregnant and homeless or at risk of homelessness. We provide the key foundation towards reaching the ultimate goal - stability and family unity. In My Shoes is the only community living program in Dallas that provides support specifically towards pregnant, homeless women - while offering life, parenting, and job skills. Moms and their babies are able to stay in an In My Shoes home while they learn necessary skills and receive job training to assist with finding employment. The Marketing and Development VISTA will build capacity by increasing financial support through coordination and planning of a fall fundraiser event and grant writing, increasing digital marketing efforts and development strategies to build greater community awareness, and increasing monthly contributions by using donor management software to create and manage a monthly giving program and donor thank you process.

Member Duties : The Marketing and Development VISTA will build capacity by increasing financial support needed to provide all material needs for a mother during and after her pregnancy, as well as the tools needed to reach self-sufficiency. Major duties include: •Build awareness and funding through coordinating and planning of a fall fundraising event •Research, write and submit of a minimum of 5 grant proposals with a goal of garnering $50,000 •Increase marketing efforts through social media platforms and digital marketing •Increase monthly contributions by using donor management software to refine and manage a monthly giving program and donor thank you process
