Kupu Community Resilience - County of Kauai
 
 
 
The Kupu Community Resilience VISTA will build capacity in the County of Kauai (CoK) to mitigate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and adapt to forecasted impacts of climate change, particularly for the most vulnerable populations. The Kupu Community Resilience VISTA will work with Kauai County to build resiliency for the rural community of Kauai against the adverse effects of climate change and to help low-income communities to reduce their cost of energy through efficiency and conservation.

Member Duties : Ensure project sustainability by building a climate change leadership network composed of community stakeholders and key county staff from related agencies Support the development and implementation of a county Climate Action Plan in collaboration with the other three counties in Hawaii Support the development and implementation of a county Climate Adaptation Plan in collaboration with the other three counties in Hawaii
