The Power of We AmeriCorps VISTA Program focuses on building the capacity of Ingham County organizations in the areas of education and economic opportunity. The program emphasizes the importance of professional development and personal growth, while creating an exceptional AmeriCorps VISTA experience for our members during the service term. Each member in our program is passionate about some area of community development and is aware of the importance of the work that they are doing for our Ingham county community.

Member Duties : The Power of We AmeriCorps VISTA member will assist the staff at the MSU Student Housing Cooperative (SHC) with documenting and increasing the impact and accountability of cooperatives as an economic development tool in Ingham County; while also evaluating and recommending improvements to the governance, programs and activities, and models for economic democracy in the SHC.
