SMIF Program Advancement and Impact VISTA
Love where you serve! Like the charm of small towns yet joy of adventure and closeness to amenities? Become part of our team dedicated to investing in people and communities with financial literacy support, community collaborative systems to build resource capacity, and volunteer and workforce engagement. Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation, based in Owatonna, MN, serving 20-counties, 175 communities and population of 500,000 people, offers the right candidate a 12-month dream experience. Our region is balanced with three key hubs: Rochester, home of Mayo Clinic and future Destination Medical Center; Mankato, home to Minnesota State University where "Big Ideas, Real World Thinking" has propelled students in positions as innovators, creators, and servant leaders; and Winona, where Winona State University, bluffs and Mississippi River rest nestled within the uniquely beautiful Driftless Region. If you love to elevate effectiveness of early stage programs, design instruments to deepen current work and program focus, this VISTA position, supported by a dynamic philanthropic organization, is a serious choice for growth and change. This service opportunity requires creative, innovative thinking and organized process development skills. We seek candidates with passion, wide-range perspectives, a heart for servant leadership that values collaboration and community development. If you are willing to contribute the full range of your skills - strategic thinking processes to a passionate drive to improve impact and sustainability; we encourage you to consider joining our team! Your contributions will set the stage for new livelihoods and an increased ability for residents to earn a livable wage or define a career path toward creating greater prosperity in the community they call home. Join us! Help create a brighter financial future for people struggling to find welcoming pathways out of poverty and into prosperity in the place they have grown to love to call home.
