2019 Construction Crew Leader

Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build hope, communities and homes. The goal of the project will be to produce a volunteer experience that creates raving fans of the organization, compels them to return, and bring their friends and family. This will increase overall volunteer engagement and housing production for the affiliate. This position is a part of the Housing Action VISTA Network, which is an AmeriCorps VISTA program managed by Housing Action Illinois since 2010. As such, this position will receive expert training, support, guidance, and networking opportunities, in addition to the traditional opportunities for AmeriCorps VISTA positions. Member Duties : The member serving in this role will be part of the AmeriCorps team that will give the necessary boost to significantly increase the number of families our affiliate is able to serve through our Critical Home Repair (CHR), A Brush With Kindness (ABWK), Rehab, and new construction projects. With the assistance of the AmeriCorps members serving in this role, we anticipate completing 1 new build, 4 CHRs, 4 ABWK projects, and 1 rehab during the service term, with a total of 10 families served.
