2019 Fundraising Associate

Architreasures transforms public spaces through grassroots partnerships that empower people to shape their future and the future of their community. Architreasures activates communities through the power of art and design, providing programs within affordable housing compounds that improves common spaces and strengthen social connections among residents. We reach low-income affordable housing residents who normally have difficulty accessing arts and cultural activities due to lack of financial resources, social isolation, transportation challenges and/ or risk of exposure to violence when crossing gang lines. Our 2019 summer fundraising project focuses on supporting the planning and coordination of our annual benefit Jewels in July, which raises operating funds that support our overall organizational capacity. This position is a part of the Housing Action VISTA Network, which is an AmeriCorps VISTA program managed by Housing Action Illinois since 2010. As such, this position will receive expert training, support, guidance, and networking opportunities, in addition to the traditional opportunities for AmeriCorps VISTA positions. Member Duties : Carry out tasks to support the development, promotion, and implementation of Architreasures' annual fundraising benefit Jewels in July. Assist in the implementation of a new CRM system to manage donor and prospect information.
