| Member Duties : The mission of Home Sweet Home is to give families a sense of pride and to improve the quality of their lives by providing basic household furnishings. The Volunteer VISTA will develop and implement a volunteer program to continue to engage existing Home Sweet Home volunteers and double the current number of volunteers. The VISTA will also manage communication with potential volunteers and coordinate volunteer scheduling. As a result of the VISTA’s efforts, Home Sweet Home volunteers will feel appreciated and more community members volunteer at Home Sweet Home. This will allow Home Sweet Home to serve more clients thus alleviating poverty for low-income families in St. Louis.
